Objective
This SOP explains how to connect the correct Google Business Profile to FloLoyal so Google Reviews can flow into the account. It also covers how to verify the integration and confirm the review link is set correctly.
Key Steps
1. Open Integrations in FloLoyal Settings 0:01

In FloLoyal, go to Settings.

Scroll down the left-hand menu and select Integrations.

Locate the Google Business Profile connection option.
2. Confirm You Are Using the Correct Google Account 0:13

Click Connect for Google Business Profile.

Log in with the Google account that owns the business profile and reviews.
-
If you are unsure which account is correct, verify that the account can edit the business listing in Google Search/Maps.
3. Verify the Business Profile Is Editable 0:22

Search for your business in Google.
-
Confirm you can see the business management/editing area.

If you cannot edit the profile, switch to the Google account that has ownership or management access.
4. Switch to the Correct Google Account if Needed 0:33

If the current account does not have access, sign out or switch accounts.

Log into the email address that owns the Google Business Profile.

Confirm the profile becomes editable before returning to FloLoyal.
5. Identify the Correct Account Using Google Maps (Optional Check) 1:02

Open the Google Maps app on your phone.

Go to the profile/settings area in the lower-right corner (location may vary by device).

Check which business is associated with the current Google account.

Use this as a quick way to confirm the correct login before connecting.
6. Connect the Google Business Profile in FloLoyal 1:26

Return to FloLoyal and click Connect.

Select the Google account that owns the business profile.
-
Complete any Google verification or password prompts.

Click Continue and grant all requested permissions.

After permissions are granted, confirm the Google Business Profile appears in FloLoyal.

If multiple businesses are listed, choose the one tied to the correct location.

Click Connect and then Continue to finalize the integration.
8. Verify Reviews Are Available in FloLoyal 2:27

In FloLoyal, go to Tools.

Open Reviews.

Confirm that Google reviews associated with the business account are visible in this section.
9. Set the Review Link to Google and Save 2:39

Go to Settings within the Reviews area.

Open Review Link.
-
Select Google as the review source.
-
Choose the correct page/business location (e.g., the matching business name).

Copy the generated link if needed, then click Save.
Cautionary Notes
-
Make sure you connect the Google account that owns the business profile, not just any personal or team email.
-
If the business profile is not editable in Google Search or Maps, the account likely does not have the correct ownership/management access.

When multiple businesses are attached to one Google account, choose the correct location before completing the connection.

Do not skip permissions during Google authorization; FloLoyal needs them for the integration to work properly.

After saving the review link, confirm the setting remains on Google and points to the correct business page.
Tips for Efficiency

Use Google Maps as a quick way to identify which account is tied to the business profile before attempting to connect.

Keep the business owner’s Google login credentials handy to avoid delays during authorization.

If you manage multiple locations, maintain a list of which Google account belongs to each location.

After connecting, immediately check Tools > Reviews to confirm the sync is working instead of waiting until later.

Save the review link right away so the correct Google review destination is locked in.
